One of the most intriguing discoveries of our time, sparking considerable debate and tension, is artificial intelligence. In the 21st century, with the internet—once the revolution of the previous century—now seamlessly integrated into our daily lives as individuals and businesses, it is only fitting that we advance to the next stage of technological evolution.

Though we are merely in the third decade of this century, artificial intelligence appears to be one of the most significant challenges we face. Despite its nascent stage, it has already stirred humanity with its vast potential. Many perceive it as a threat, prompting a critical question for us all: do these automated systems pose a risk to human rights?

Globally, this concern has been raised, particularly in the United States, where significant uproar has occurred, despite many citizens unknowingly using AI daily. Artificial intelligence is already embedded in banking, daily transactions, and numerous government and public services worldwide.

As productive AI applications become more ubiquitous, this technology pervades our lives—at work, school, home, and even in places of worship. This widespread use saves both time and money, offering undeniable benefits.

The concern, however, arises from AI's capabilities extending beyond these everyday uses to innovations like facial recognition, brain-implanted computer chips, and AI-generated content. In response, various international bodies and civil and consumer organizations in the U.S. and the E.U. are working to establish new policies and strict regulations for AI usage. Despite these efforts, its adoption and spread seem inevitable, serving as the foundation for robotics, with the first robotic machines already entering the market.

In this article, I do not intend to analyze the existing international legislation on AI, as I am not well-versed in its details. Instead, my purpose is to share my stance on this issue and inform readers how I utilize AI in my publications, ensuring transparency about what they are reading and purchasing.

My position on technology has always been clear. As a member of GenX—a generation straddling the eras before and after the internet—I have witnessed the power of technology and its unstoppable path of evolution. Despite fierce opposition, no one can halt its progress. History shows similar reactions during the Industrial Revolution, some even amusing in hindsight. Those who resisted or failed to adapt inevitably faced various setbacks.

To deny technology would be foolish and disadvantageous for the future. It is a disadvantage for anyone to advance in time and be left behind. My extensive study of the Industrial Revolution, which fascinated me since my school days, reveals that such socio-economic upheavals inevitably bring significant disruptions. However, those who adapted, developed new skills, embraced new knowledge, and incorporated technology into their work thrived.

I am confident that many insightful and creative individuals, regardless of age, will shape the new jobs and career paths required by our century and the challenges ahead.

I am enthusiastic about technological advancements and am transparent about it. My primary concern is who controls this technology. It should not fall into the hands of powerful but paranoid entities, whether government or otherwise, to prevent its misuse against humanity, its rights, and its well-being. Effective regulation of AI innovations beyond everyday use is essential through human rights declarations, laws, and societal consensus.

One professional field significantly protesting AI is the creative industry, including artists, writers, and painters. They fear AI's potential to produce remarkable art, especially paintings. As a creator, I understand their concerns. However, instead of spending energy on debates and negative thoughts, I suggest they explore how AI can enhance their work, increase productivity, and assist in areas where creators often struggle.

I refer to genuine creators—painters, writers, screenwriters—not those who rely solely on AI. Becoming a creator or artist with AI alone is not feasible. AI, as it stands, does not generate new ideas but retrieves information from the web, resulting in standardized, previously written content. This raises legal issues and questions about the creator's authenticity. While AI offers limitless possibilities in image creation, animations, and videos, it still requires human creativity and the correct prompts to achieve desired results. Successful prompts have even become a commodity, highlighting the complexity of creating specific content. However, AI cannot produce paintings sold as "handmade" artworks, despite creating impressive styles. Printed on canvas, these remain images, not true paintings.

Therefore, do not attempt to become an "artist" with AI if you are not one. Creators and writers fearing AI are naive. AI is a valuable tool when used to support the artist's work, provided clients are informed about its extent and application.

Bookstrories.shop utilizes AI for:

- Creating images for books and articles

- Translation and editing services for books and texts

- Narration of videos

As English is not my native language, AI has significantly aided my ability to communicate globally—a benefit I can only describe as positive. Additionally, AI allows me to create necessary images for my publications, saving costs and overcoming the challenge of finding suitable images among limited available options. This is a lifesaver, especially considering the immense demand for images across the web.
